The Charity Chair is responsible for all the charity projects the club is supporting. She has to submit a monthly report to the Board regarding all the activities of each project.

Next to that, the Charity Chair also communicates with the CAT (Charity Action Team) at least once a month and
prepares a budget with all Home Coordinators at the beginning of the year. This budget is submitted to the Board for approval. It is her duty to make sure that all the funds are being spend accordingly.

The Charity Chair visits the IWC- supported Children homes at least once a year together with the Home Coordinators. She will assist them whenever it is necessary. Last but not least, she is responsible for updated Charity News in the Ribbon Magazine on a monthly basis.

I am Pooja Sawlani, born and brought up in Bombay, INDIA. I have been married to Vinod Sawlani for more than 6 years now and have been in Budapest since then. We don't have any children YET. I keep busy by supervising our Indian Restaurant, INDIGO, and by learning pottery, playing Mahjong, reading and of course traveling.

In the 1st year of being here I did not know many people and got to know about the IWCA at the Hungarian language school. It has been a real pleasure to have got involved with the club and help in the charitable causes of the club. I have been on the ball committee twice and have loved working with people from different walks of life. Besides this the satisfaction that one gets when all our efforts bring a smile & joy to the children at the children's homes is a feeling that cannot be achieved with any other thing in this world.
