The Association gladly accepts charitable donations and support from any credible business. It is the Board’s policy, however, to accept no aid that may lead to any political or financial commitment. The Association does not endorse any business, offer free advertising, or endorse any charity projects not approved by the Board.

The IWC retains association status so that we may take advantage of the 1% tax designation that is allowed in Hungary. We acquired “public benefit” association status according to the 1997: CLVI Act in order to expand our possibilities as a charitable and social organization and remain in compliance with Hungarian law.

Please mention the month of issue and your (company) name. We will need a copy of the receipt via fax at 06-1-321-4604. Of course you can make alternate arrangements with the IWCA treasurer. She can also provide a TAX certificate, only after payment and providing that you give your TAX number and correct company information.

Attention to all IWCA Members: Do you know that families who pay their taxes to the Hungarian government can donate 1% of their personal income tax to the International Women’s Club Association? Why not support your charity? Please read the information below:

The International Women’s Club was founded in 1981 by a group of enterprising women from the diplomatic and international community. The club grew very rapidly and dedicated itself to charity. In 2000 the IWCF acquired association status and continues to adjust its practices to comply with Hungarian laws governing charitable organizations. The IWC Association is eligible to take advantage of the 1% tax donations.

Please help us continue to support our charities.

If you are subject to pay taxes to the Hungarian government for 2009, please designate the IWCF as the recipient of your 1% donation. Simply fill in your tax form with the Hungarian name of our Association and our tax number, as shown below:
